BemerkungenI went outside expecting to see what I would term typical meteors, fairly faint, shooting across a relatively short section of the sky. I only witnessed one of these. What I did witness were, as I described them to my daughter, momentary bright blips of what appeared to be white light, similar in brightness to how a very bright star might appear. They, and there were easily two dozen or so over the course of approx. 10 minutes of viewing. I'd never seen anything like them, so I went online today to see if I could find out what they were. They appeared and disappeared quickly--no trails were seen--only quick bursts of light, the size of large star, nearly one after the other, but not continual, more sporadic in nature. I came back in not because they stopped, but because my neck was stiff. Actually, now that I've thought about it more, most were slightly lower in the sky than my indication in this questionaire shows. Maybe around 11 o'clock in angle.
