BemerkungenThe time of 10:00 PM is an approximation within a range of about 5-10 minutes on either side. The fireball was also observed by my husband Joseph. About 5 minutes before we saw the fireball, we saw a "regular" meteor shoot across the sky originating at about 110 degrees and heading in a straight trajectory toward 290 degrees. The elevation was around 70 degrees. That was the first "shooting star" I had ever seen, then the fireball, so it was all pretty amazing. BemerkungenObject first appeared as a small dot about the size of a jet's headlight It seemed to be coming straight toward us, and there was no trail that we could see. It disappeared and appeared again intermittently for about 2-3 seconds, then became larger and much brighter with a golden color. We could see a shape like a starfish within the area of light as it got larger. Then it faded away.
