I was sat on my settee watching the TV. My front room has a large window that looks out toward the North East. There were no lights on the the room. The sighting was left of the TV so I hardly had to move my head. It caught my eye as it went below the ceiling and I followed it until it went below the horizon. It was unusual because I often see 'shooting stars' they tend to be less intense and burn out halfway across the sky but this was brighter and very unusual in the fact that it reached the horizon without dimming. Also the trail was much thicker (light trail not smoke trail). It was over very quickly. Next morning I told my Partner and said I wouldn't be suprised if it crashed in the sea. I hoped it didn't hit a Tanker! My house looks across the valley at Occombe Woods and so there is not much light pollution. Usually I can see such things as the Space Station and satellites. I measured the angle with a compass so it will be reasonably accurate. It came down vertically that is why the detection angle and last seen angle are the same. This was unusual in itself. When I first wrote this I thought 'did I get the time wrong and it was the Peterborough meteorite?' But the angle is wrong by a good amount.
