BemerkungenI have seen some falling stars, but nothing like this. The sky was dark except for a large clear lighted area way above the trees. I thought it was going to hit the earth until it exploded. It made such an impression on me I drew a picture of it and showed it to everybody I saw, but nobody saw it. I have looked all over the internet for a picture of it or a sighting.

BemerkungenWhen I saw it I thought it was a full moon, but it had a long orange string attached and above it. It was coming close to the earth straight down. It was big and beautiful and perfectly round. I have never seen anything like it. I couldn't see any flames around it until it exploded.
Endblitz
BeobachtungYes
BemerkungenWhen it exploded I saw fragments going in all different directions with smoke tails showing different colored flames that slowly started to extinguish and disappear.
Teilung
BeobachtungJa
BemerkungenThe fragments looked like large chunks of gray rocks on fire with fire tails.
